Jalkanen & Keski-Pomppu

At COLLECTIBLE 2024, Jalkanen & Keski-Pomppu unveil their latest creation, the SOIL series of lights, highlighting the beauty of local materials. Handcrafted from Finnish red clay sourced from Päivi Keski-Pomppu's childhood village, each light takes on an organic form, shaped with care in their own workspace. Collaborating with local glassblowers from Kiikoinen and Riihimäki, the glass components add a unique touch to the design. The juxtaposition of industrial steel, warm red clay, and delicately shaped glass sparks a captivating dialogue of materials, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the rich narrative woven into each object.

Jalkanen & Keski-Pomppu, a dynamic design duo based in Helsinki, seamlessly blend art, design, and architecture in their creative pursuits, spanning objects, sculpture, furniture, and interior design.
