ColAAb presents a range of projects at the COLLECTIBLE New York fair, blending art and design with deep cultural and philosophical inspirations. Morgane Tschiember’s Shibari Bench and Stool, inspired by her time in Kyoto, feature 100-year-old oak beams wrapped in knotted linen ropes, showcasing a minimalist aesthetic that highlights the craftsmanship and material connection. The “Everybody Gets Lighter” series reinterprets the art historical theme of windows, turning photos from Tschiember's Paris apartment into light-artworks that reflect the varying hues of the day. Xiao Fan Ru’s "La Voie d’Or" tables draw inspiration from the symbolic and philosophical qualities of bamboo, embodying strength, elegance, and the search for harmony. Nicolas Momein’s "Bump the Lamp" series, with its bronze-cast, tubular forms reminiscent of childhood tablecloths, marries organic shapes with a protective embrace of light, evoking a sense of nostalgia and warmth.
