For COLLECTIBLE 2024, Ae Office is presenting new pieces from their ongoing collection 'Dol', exploring the new expression and malleability of cork as a sustainable design material. What may appear solid and heavy is, in fact, crafted from a lightweight and soft material, deceiving the viewer with its surface. Ae Office was inspired by the volcanic island of Jeju, their first observation site before moving to Berlin, where the basalt stone is omnipresent in the everyday landscape of Jeju people as chairs, partitions, and more.
