PUR_PA_04 shows my exploration with the topic of occasional furniture. What is a proper occasional furniture? What qualities should it have? What possibilities does it offer to me? The result is an object with a central column, the two wooden elements on the sides can be freely arranged in height and orientation. A object that can be adjusted according to placement and function we have in our private space. At the same time, my aim was to create a special piece that would stimulate the imagination. The shape and mirror-like geometry of this particular piece of poplar burl brings up the association of wings for me. Through the aluminium construction and the division of the wood in the middle, I wanted to enhance and underline this effect.
