Maak & Transmettre - Collective, design studio, place of exchange of knowledge. M&T is a collective composed of Mathilde Pecqueur, Salomé Corvalan and Alice Emery: two textile designers and one industrial designer and cabinetmaker. By combining their different sensibilities here they divert the tufting technique for which they have developed several applications beyond the carpet. The collective's practice oscillates between art and design, in addition to its educational activity with various audiences.
The "Arches" curtain is a tufted curtain that plays on the front and back. A subtle play of lines in two colours is revealed when the curtain is handled by the user. This textile piece features a signficant amount of material work, sometimes coloured veiling, sometimes striped wool. This wall is both a theatrical architecture that sublimates a space but also a way to play on different perspectives thanks to these transparencies. Arche is an echo of a Mediterranean patio in a summer twilight. It brings the peaceful softness of the evening coolness.
