Célestine Peuchot is a French designer based in Paris, with a degree from the Beaux-Arts de Paris and a second master's degree from the Design Academy Eindhoven. Her practice explores both furniture and the spaces that surround it. Between artifice and tradition, two worlds confront each other. She plays with digital aesthetics in handmade materialized furniture. By developing her formal vocabulary through a constant search for materials, she constantly questions the artificial aspect of materials and their representations. Fascinated by minimalist forms, her research is informed by the way objects tell a story in our domestic spaces, reacting to their architectural surroundings. The results are fictional domestic scenarios where design and art combine to challenge our habits of tomorrow.
